RYANAIR welcomed SITA’s independent baggage report which confirmed its “outstanding” performance, mishandling far fewer bags than any other airline.
The 2013 SITA World Tracer statistics, which are used by 450 airlines globally, showed a worldwide average of 6.96 mishandled bags per 1,000 customers, while in Europe, the average figure was even higher at nine mishandled bags per 1,000. However, Ryanair mishandled fewer than 0.36 bags per 1,000 customers last year.
