Fun in the parks

BRITAIN is a relatively small island, but it’s big enough to have 15 #nationalparks, from the Cairngorms in the far north to the New Forest and Dartmoor in the deep south – a fact that will be celebrated during National Parks Week (July 27-August 2).

The week’s theme will be Landscapes of Plenty, which makes the point that the parks – as well as being places in which enjoy nature and unspoilt countryside – also produce some of the island’s finest food and drink. Events in the parks will include food festivals and farmers’ markets.

Find out what’s on during the week – and for tips on where to go find the best beaches and picnic spots in #England, #Scotland, and #Wales – go to www.nationalparks.gov.uk/visiting/national-parks-week-2015
