MARATHON runners from across the world are set to descend on Negril, #Jamaica, for 26.2 miles of fun … also known as the #Reggae #Marathon. Taking place on December 3, it’s expected that 3,000 runners will take part.
Competitors can take on the ultimate 26.2 mile challenge, a half marathon, or a 10km race and compete for US $10,000 (£6,200) in prize money. All of the races start and finish at Long Bay Beach Park on Negril's famed Seven Mile Beach.
One of the highlights of this year’s event will be the participation of the
2016 winners of the Tottori Prefecture Marathon, in Japan, as part of a twinning
agreement between the Westmoreland Parish Council and its counterpart in Japan, the Tottori Prefeture. To reciprocate Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K willsponsor the 2016 male marathon winner to run in the Tottori Marathon, Japan, in March, 2017.
