Grand Palace in Bangkok reopens

BANGKOK'S Grand Palace is now open as usual to visitors who would like to enjoy what is considered the Jewel in the Crown of the city’s tourist attractions. The palace is also open for mourners coming to pay their respects to the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The palace was closed for two days from 20-21 January, 2017, after the Bureau of the Royal Household announced they would be holding a ceremony to mark 100 days since the passing of the Late King Rama IX.

On 22 January, the Palace reopened for tourists and visitors with tickets available in advance and at the palace itself.

The Grand Palace is open every day from 8.30-15.30 Hrs. and there are free guided tours in English at 10.00, 10.30, 3.30 and 14.00 Hrs. Ticket prices include an admission to the Vimanmek Teak Mansion.
