Thames Traditional Boat Festival, Henley – July 19-20

This is a two day display of traditionally built boats, of any age and both powered and unpowered. Some 200 qualifying craft, including many of the famous Dunkirk Little Ships, attend each year.

Highlights are the floating Illuminated Parade on Saturday night, bank-side displays, craft and produce, costumes, and vintage cars and bicycles.

All aboard in Henley

The Royal Regatta –July 2-6

First held in 1839, Henley’s Royal Regatta is the town’s most famous and prestigious annual event.

Attracting visitors from all over the world, the five-day event is one of the highlights of the summer sporting calendar and the English social season. Thousands watch 200 international-standard races.

Aside from the rowing, visitors enjoy the unique ambience and facilities within the enclosures and along the Thames riverbank.
