Flying Regatta in Martinique

THE #Martinique Flying Regatta will take place from November 17 to 24, 2018. It will be the world’s signature international foiling event. The bay of Fort-de-France is the perfect location to run a race and showcase these hydro-foil sailboats that represent the technological future of competitive sailing. 

Inducted into the prestigious club of “The Most Beautiful Bays in the World,” the Fort-de-France Bay is particularly well suited for these #sailing boats, with is vast and protected 28 square miles (72km2) of maritime space. The world's most scenic regatta

MORE than 250 sailors representing 21 nationalities have signed-up for the iconic The Bay Regatta held January 31 to February, 2018 in Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi provinces. 

A four day travelling regatta around Phang Nga Bay that stops at a different anchorage each evening for a party under-the-stars, The Bay Regatta is famous for visiting some of the region’s best beachfront spots. Often referred to as the “fun regatta” and the “world’s most scenic regatta”, it is a regatta like no other and one that attracts the serious and less serious racers.

AS the European summer regatta circuit begins to draw to a close, the #Caribbean vibe in #Barbados is beginning to rumble with plans already in place for the annual Mount Gay Round Barbados Race Series – 16-24 January 2018.

The 82nd edition of this Caribbean season opening Mount Gay Round Barbados Race Series regatta, organised by Barbados Cruising Club in association with Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc, and Mount Gay, is now one of the most popular events on the circuit. With direct, regular flights from London to Barbados, now could be the time to consider a midwinter charter option or, for those planning a transatlantic crossing in the next few months, consider a rewarding trip to beautiful island of Barbados during regatta time.

Other than three days of coastal racing, one of the main draws is the headline event – the 60nm Round Barbados Race – which offers speed sailing enthusiasts not only a chance to enjoy spectacular sailing on a race circuit with uninterrupted winds, but also a chance to win their skipper’s weight in rum if any of the 20 records are broken.

Rugby Regatta

WOODEN Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby, and #Sunsail, the leading sailing company in the UK, have formed an exciting partnership to launch a brand new and unique event for the world of #rugby.

The Wooden Spoon Regatta will take place on the September 28, 2017 with competitors racing on Sunsail’s fleet of 30 identical Beneteau First Match 40s.

A proportion of each entry fee for the regatta will include a donation to the charity. The money raised will go towards funding projects across the UK and Ireland that support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.

Competitors will also have the opportunity to upgrade their entry to an Ambassador Package, which will add a rugby or sailing legend to their team.
