Helpful Holidays and Cath Kidston offer holiday prize

CATH KIDSTON has teamed up with Helpful Holidays to offer a lucky winner a #holiday in the fashionable South Devon town of Salcombe. 

The winner will be picked at random by entering their details on a postcard available in Cath Kidston stores or via the Cath Kidston website … www.cathkidston.com/fcs/blog/seaside-holiday. The closing date for entries is May 30.

The #prize is a week's holiday at Underbecks, a 5* villa on the hillside above South Sands beach, #Salcombe. With five en suite bedrooms, the winner can invite up to 10 family members or friends to join them.

Private dining will be provided on two evenings, plus meals on other nights, as well as products from the Cath Kidston 2016 Spring/Summer seaside-themed collection.

Mary Berry to open Salcombe Crabfest


#MARYBERRY will open the #Salcombe #Crabfest in South Devon on May 1.

Her fans will have the chance to become CrabFest Patrons and join a Q&A session at which Ms Berry will talk about her life.

The festival will feature:

· A demo kitchen and programme of talks by chefs and food writers

· Hotels and restaurants serving menu dishes using the best seafood and shellfish caught off the South Devon coast

· Local food to buy from local producers

· Demos on how to make crab pots

· A heritage crabber boat and modern day crabber at the town's Normandy Quay for people to explore

· Live music

· Activities for children, courtesy of Coast & Country Cottages

Run by the Rotary Club of Salcombe, all funds raised by will be donated to local charities.

All aboard in Kingsbridge


KINGSBRIDGE on the Salcombe Estuary in South #Devon will host the Flat Water Distance Race (part of the 2015 UK Stand-Up Paddleboarding National Race Series) on October 24. 

Stand-Up #paddleboarding, which originated in Hawaii, is a variation of surfing in which riders stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves thorough water. 

Spectators will have a clear view of the event from the waterside, and holiday letting agency Toad Hall Cottages has range of properties in the town and the surrounding area.
