Shorter travel adventure

THE Global Scavenger Hunt, the world’s only real-life around-the-world travel adventure competition, is launching a new shorter version of its amazing annual international travel adventure, the 2018 fall trip is called The Global Scavenger Hunt WEST.

The 2018 fall adventure will maintain all the unique elements of the larger global event—travelers will visit secret destinations, they will partake in culturally immersive interactive local site-doing scavenger hunts, and it will be a competition—but the will be limited in time and geography: taking place over 14-days, instead of 23-days; and visiting four secret countries on a single continent, rather than circling the globe to ten nations.

The inaugural Global Scavenger Hunt WEST adventure will begin October 13th (at a to-be-determined North American gateway city) ending two-weeks, four or five countries later, on October 27th. In between, Amazing Race wannabe’s will achieve travel nirvana visiting mysterious destination gems, uncovering cryptic clues, carrying out secret missions, hunting down masterpieces, sampling extraordinary cuisines, using pre-industrial modes of transport, and happily facing life-enriching challenges.

World Travel Championship closing date drawing near

THE 13th annual world travel championship, known as The Global Scavenger Hunt, set to take place between April 14 and May 6, and the application deadline of January 30 is approaching.

Global Scavenger Hunt 2017

THE dates of April 14 throuth to May 6 are set for the 2017 edition of The Global Scavenger Hunt, the world's only real-life international #travel #adventure competition and would-be Indiana Jones-type wannabe's can apply online for the thrilling around the world adventure event limited to an exclusive group of just 15 teams of two travellers.

The 2017 theme of the event is to have participants answer the question: When was the last time you did something for the first time? With the 2016 champions, Lawyers without Borders, who hail from Houston, Texas, defending their "World's Greatest Travelers" titles in this event that is all about authentic, challenging and participatory travel.

Participants are given numerous volunteering opportunities along the way, but the event also serves as a platform to raise funds for interest-free micro loans, the building of remote medical clinics and co-ed elementary schools in places of need. Ten schools and a medical clinic having already been built in places like: Kenya, Sierra Leone, Ecuador, Niger and Sri Lanka.

The 23-day around the world event is limited to 15 teams of two, and the $25,000 per team entry fee includes: all international airfare, first class hotels, 40% of meals and event-sponsored travel gear. Single travelers welcomed and all travelers will be interviewed for suitability.
