A new world sets to open in Abu Dhabi

Warner Bros Abu Dhabi to open its doors late July

MIRAL, Abu Dhabi's creator of destinations, announced today that Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, an indoor theme park, will open its doors to the public on 25th of July 2018.

When the highly-anticipated Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi opens this summer, it will feature six immersive lands including DC's Metropolis and Gotham City, as well as Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch and Warner Bros. Plaza. When guests step through the iconic Warner Bros. shield, they will enter a world where Super Heroes like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman fight for justice and animated stars like Bugs Bunny, Wile E. World's tallest indoor climbing wall to open in Abu Dhabi

THE world’s tallest indoor climbing wall and its widest skydiving chamber will be housed in a giant futuristic multi-sided diagonal cube on Yas Island. The skydiving chamber will be 9.75 meters wide, and the climbing venue’s highest wall will have a height of 43 meters.

Developer Miral said the US$100 million "Clymb" is scheduled to open next to Yas Mall in 2018. Work is already under way, and the project is 35 percent complete as of the beginning of this month. Zublin Construction has been appointed as the main contractor, Miral said.

Clymb will join existing attractions Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld and will follow future attractions such as the Warner Bros theme park, which are all part of the vision to turn Yas Island into a top global destination attracting 48 million visits a year by 2022.

Warner Bros. theme park for Abu Dhabi

A WARNER BROS.-THEMED destination is to open in #AbuDhabi. On Yas Island, the development will include a Warner Bros. theme park and the world’s first Warner-branded hotel. The first phase of the project, #WarnerBros. World Abu Dhabi, is scheduled to open in 2018. Construction is underway and rides are in production. 

The attraction will feature stories and characters from the studio’s portfolio of DC Comics super heroes, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as Warner Bros. cartoons such as Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry. Guests will be able to step inside Gotham City and Metropolis, and experience the cartoon worlds of Looney Tunes, Hanna-Barbera under one roof.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi aims to help Yas Island take its annual visitor tally from 25 million in 2015 to 30 million in 2018.
