SAN FRANCISCO International Airport (SFO) was named the Best Airport for Local Eateries by www.RewardExpert.com.
For the 2017 Airport Dining Scorecard, Reward Expert combed through almost 75,000 customer reviews and studied menu data to determine which of the 20 busiest U.S. airports have the best dining experience for travelers, also researching the best experience for specific dining categories like vegetarian or gluten-free.
In addition to being named Best Airport for Local Eateries, SFO came in eighth overall, noting, “Aside from a Burger King, a Wendy’s and some staple coffee shops, nearly all of the San Francisco Airport’s restaurants originated in San Francisco. Napa Farms, SF Uncork’d, Mission Bar and Grill, and Lori’s Diner are just a few of the Frisco-based restaurants that can be found in the airport.”
