NEW ZEALAND is the cover story of the Chinese edition of National Geographic Traveler this month.
The 16-page feature story called Green Pass New Zealand showcases the weird and wonderful #wildlife of the lower South Island and beautiful photographs of Dunedin and Southland coasts and Rakiura/Stewart Island.
The highlight is the stunning photography from China’s top wildlife photographer Xi Zhinong, who took photos of penguins, kea and tuatara. The visit was arranged by Tourism New Zealand.
Tourism #NewZealand General Manager Asia David Craig said the feature story showed there is significant interest in New Zealand beyond the well-known tourist areas of Queenstown and Auckland.
