The sixth edition of the Yokohama Triennale will take place between 4 August and 5 November 2017, with the theme “Islands, Constellations & Galapagos”.
Yokohama is just 30 minutes’ from central Tokyo by train. This year’s festival will take place in the Yokohama Museum of Art and Red Brick Warehouse, which is home to a number of stylish shops and restaurants (including ocean front cafes and casual eateries such as Bill Grainger’s ‘Bill’s’).
Combine your trip to the Yokohama Triennale with a visit to Yokohama’s other attractions, such as the Cup Noodle Museum (where you can create your own cup noodle!), the city's enormous China Town, the Kirin beer factory (which offers free tours) and a stroll along the waterfront at Yamashita Park.
