Wildlife cruises to Guernsey

A TEAM from wildlife charity MARINElife has been training volunteers on board Condor Ferries ships as they prepare for a summer season of wildlife spotting on the cross-Channel service. 

Training to become Wildlife Officers for MARINElife, the volunteers will be on a number of day trips to the Channel Islands offered by Condor Ferries. Sailing from Poole to #Guernsey, the trips offer passengers the opportunity to see marine mammals and seabirds.

MARINElife is a Dorset-based research, education, and conservation charity conducting year-round scientific surveys of whales, dolphins, and seabirds.

Alicia Andrews at Condor says: ‘We’re delighted to offer MARINElife day trips to Guernsey this summer, and give our passengers this fascinating experience. There is a wealth of wildlife just waiting to be discovered on our sailing routes, and with a wildlife officer on hand, the trip will not only be enjoyable but also informative. Condor celebrates National Ferry Fortnight

20% discounts on cross-Channel travel

PASSENGERS booking a trip to the Channel Islands or France can save 20% if they confirm their purchase before January 23.

The offer is available for people booking to travel on the fast ferry sailings from Poole, as well as on conventional sailings from Portsmouth. Bookings can now be made for travel up to December 2016.

Tourism award for Condor Ferries

CONDOR FERRIES was awarded the Development of the Year accolade at this year’s Sibbett Gregory Poole #Tourism Awards.

The awards, sponsored by local commercial property agents, surveyors and town planners, Sibbett Gregory, recognize innovation, dedication, and passion in Poole’s tourism industry.

Condor Ferries launches selfie competition

CONDOR FERRIES is challenging passengers on board its cross-Channel services to get snapping and post their best selfies for its summer #ferryselfie campaign, in aid of #ChannelIslands Airsearch. 

#CondorFerries is offering passengers the chance to #win a selection of hi-tech gadgets worth £500 by sharing their selfie.

For every entry received, Condor Ferries will donate £1 to the Channel Islands Airsearch, a voluntary service that provides a 24/7 rapid response and rescue service in Channel Island waters. Operated by a volunteer crew, the service is funded by charitable donations along with some governmental assistance.

Justin Amey, head of Marketing at Condor Ferries said: ‘We’re looking for our passengers to send us their most original selfies taken on board our ships. This is a fun campaign that will also help raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.’
