IN a new approach to attract the visiting friends and relatives of expats living in Australia, today the Mudgee Region launches its new tourism campaign, Water to Wine – supported by the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package. 

Each year, thousands of visiting friends and relatives flock to the shores of Sydney, spending time with their loved ones and enjoying the beach-lifestyle. Too often, however, hosts who live fast-paced lives are tasked with coordinating activities and adventures to keep their guests occupied.

What is most interesting, is that more than half of international Visiting Friends and Relatives visitors (55%) will take over-night trips on their own, with 17% of the hosts accompanying them on overnight/short break trips.

The nation’s rich history, traditions and culture; its ancient temples, royal palaces and saffron-robed monks attract visitors and expats both. Known as Cambodia’s “temple town,” Siem Reap, in north-western Cambodia, is surrounded by the ruins of the ancient temple city.

Switch off and relax in Sweden

#SWEDEN introduces ‘The 72 Hour Cabin’ to demonstrate how spending three days in Swedish nature enables people from all over the world to switch off and increase their well-being. Sweden’s life quality index ranks high, and its ‘close to nature’ #lifestyle is believed to be one of the secrets. 90 percent of all Swedes believe spending time in the open makes their everyday life more meaningful and almost 50 percent spend time in nature once a week or more. 

The freedom to roam gives everyone the right to access authentic nature in Sweden. With 95 percent of the country uninhabited, there is a lot to discover – from sitting by the fire, to looking out over Sweden’s 100,000 lakes, or picking berries and mushrooms.

Germany in Conde Nast Traveler Top 10

#GERMANY belongs to the "10 best countries to live in", so the current edition of the international lifestyle magazine Conde Nast Traveler. 

A number of factors, including health, sustainability, education, equality, and the average income of the population included in the ranking of the publishing house. 

Petra Hedorfer, Chairman of the Board of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB): "the quality of life in Germany enjoys high international esteem. This characterises the excellent image of in Germany and supports the demand for the destination." 

Leader in the ranking of 2017 Norway, followed by Australia and Switzerland. Germany is the fourth ranked before Denmark, Singapore, the Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, Canada and the United States.
