Travel the world for half the Avios

BRITISH AIRWAYS is offering customers the chance to travel the world for half the number of Avios usually required.

Available for booking until December 17, the airline will offer World Traveller (long-haul economy) flights from Heathrow or Gatwick to more than 90 long-haul destinations for 50 per cent fewer Avios.

This means that customers can book a return flight to Toronto or New York using just 13,000 Avios instead of 26,000, to Johannesburg for 16,250 Avios instead of 32,500 or to Hong Kong for 19,500 Avios instead of 39,000.

Cumbria rewards winter visitors

CUMBRIA Tourism has launched the Love Cumbria rewards card for visitors, to give them easy access to some of the special seasonal experiences they can enjoy during the winter months.

From now until mid-March visitors to the Lake District, #Cumbria can take advantage of over 40 exclusive winter warming offers to a host of quality attractions, restaurants and seasonal treats making it the ‘must have’ holiday accessory of the season. The card can either be bought online or at a participating outlet around the county.

The Love Cumbria card includes ‘2 for 1s’ and up to 25% off entrance to popular attractions, cafes and restaurants. For just £10, the card gives 2 people easy access to the offers for a 2 week period from the date of arrival in the Lake District, Cumbria.

Norwegian to give free long-haul flights and upgrades to frequent fliers in 2018

LOW-cost airline Norwegian’s loyalty programme Norwegian Reward is now giving its most frequent flying members in 2017 a free return flight or upgrade to its Premium cabin on any long-haul route for travel in 2018.

Norwegian Reward is a free-to-join loyalty scheme which gives members the chance to earn rewards and CashPoints which can lead to discounted and free Norwegian flights.

Norwegian Reward members who fly at least 20 round trips (40 one way flights) and have at least 3000 CashPoints earned on flight tickets by 31 December 2017 will receive a free return flight to any one of Norwegian’s 13 long-haul destinations from Gatwick.  Flights are redeemable in January 2018 with a valid travel period throughout the entire year of 2018.*

The loyalty programme is also offering members who fly at least 10 round trips (20 one way flights) on flexible tickets in 2017 a free upgrade to Premium on any long-haul route.
