THE CALEDONIAN SLEEPER is tee-ing off a new service with luxury #golf tour operator, St Andrews Golf Travel, to take guests to the ‘Home of Golf’. 

After a successful six month trial, the free door-to-door transfers by St Andrews Golf Travel will operate six days a week, morning and night, for guests arriving at and departing from Leuchars railway station.

Established in 2013, the specialist golf tour operator in St Andrews operates a fleet of luxury cars and people carriers.

Says Marc Gentles at St Andrews Golf Travel: ‘It's every golfer’s dream to visit #StAndrews at least once in their lifetime and, having played golf in all four corners of the world, we wanted to bring our passion for the sport back to the Home of Golf.

The Caledonian Sleeper service is an overnight rail journey from London Euston to Inverness.

Scottish travel firm targets golfers

A TRAVEL firm specializing in attracting #golf tourists to #Scotland has been launched. DP&L Golf says it will target British, European and US players, but will focus particularly on the emerging Chinese market.

The firm is part of DP&L Travel, an established independent travel business in Scotland and a subsidiary of the DP&L (Dundee, Perth, and London) group.

The new company will operate from St Andrews and Dundee where staff will create packages to suit budgets for individuals, couples, families, or groups.
