Swan Lake by the sea

ON October 18 The Russian State Ballet and Opera House presents Swan Lake featuring a live Orchestra with over 30 musicians on The Esplanade in Weymoth.

After a successful Ballet tour last year, Russian State Ballet and Opera House is back for their annual UK tour with mesmerising, and captivating full touring ballet production.

One hundred and thirty-five years ago, audiences heard the Swan Lake music by the great Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky for the very first time. From this moment on, the world of ballet would never be the same again.

Tickets start at £31 for an adult with concessions at £29.

Super-lodges for sale at prestigious Osmington Park redevelopment

OSMINGTON HOLIDAY PARK, a five-star luxury lodge park which offers both holidays and holiday home ownership on Dorset’s Jurassic coast, is being re-developed. 

Two new lodge developments – The Oaks and Cedar Falls – will open this summer.

Their cedar-clad lodges will sell for upwards of £300,000, will have hidden roof terraces, saunas, hot-tubs, glass-fronted verandahs, and luxury bathrooms, and will be decorated according to the buyer’s specifications.

The park is in the village of Osmington Mills, near Weymouth.

Britain’s best beaches

WOOLACOMBE beach in Devon has been named a Top 5 Beach in Europe, according to a list compiled by TripAdvisor. Weymouth beach in Dorset was eighth, while three other UK beaches made the European top 20. 

TripAdvisor spokesman James Kay said: ‘The presence of two UK beaches in Europe's top 10 is further proof of what a fantastic tourist draw the UK's coastline really is.’

Woolacombe went on to be listed as the 13th best in the world's top beach table. According to TripAdvisor, the planet’s best is Baia do Sancho in Brazil's Fernando de Noronha island chain.
