Brits get set for city breaks

MORE than 42 million Brits, or 83% of the population, have booked, or are thinking of booking, a city-break this year, according to research by Jet2Holidays.

The Jet2holidays research, based on survey involving 1,000 respondents, revealed that the average person had been on seven European city breaks and 11 UK city breaks. Only 10 per cent had never taken one, and 2% of respondents had been on 51 or more.

Respondents were asked to name Europe’s friendliest cities. Amsterdam topped the poll, followed by Barcelona, Paris, Rome, and Venice.
