London set for tourism record

A RECORD number of tourists visited England’s capital between July and September last year, the latest set of tourism figures from the International Passenger Survey show.

For the first time in its history, the city is on course to welcome more than 16 million overseas visitors in one year.

During the first nine months of 2013, London had 12.8 million visitors, up by 12 percent on the same period in 2012.
