History comes to life at Blenheim Palace

VISITORS to #Blenheim Palace will be able to discover exactly what the butler saw over the summer holidays, with Living History characters in the Palace Great Court.

Taking place regularly throughout the day, seven days a week, the free guided tours will explore the Great Court in one of the grandest stately homes in the country.

In the company of either the butler or the housemaid, the tours bring the history of the house to life and offer a behind-the-scenes experience with information about life below stairs.

The tours are just part of a series of events and activities taking place across the Oxfordshire estate throughout the summer holidays. Other highlights include drumming workshops, art classes, animal encounters, and miniature pony rides.

Home to the Dukes of Marlborough since 1722, and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. It is set in more than 2,000 acres of Capability Brown landscaped parkland.
