Hiking in Austria

POWERFUL giants and petrified wizards, cunning witches and a mystic mountain that quakes deep inside: the stuff of legends now graces the idyllic landscape around Lech-Zürs am Arlberg, Austria. You’ll encounter them on the Green Ring circular trail, a three-stage hike across mountain ridges and valleys, past lakes and waterfalls.

The newest artist-designed trail is the Green Puzzle Ring, home to a trove of secrets worth revealing between Lech and the Rud Alpe.

A literary map created especially for the trail helps hikers to discover each site, even those seemingly hidden and less obvious to the naked eye. From the cablecar journey up to the Rüfikopf and the view of the secluded Zürsersee to strolling through a cotton grass meadow or a picnic in the “Sagenwald” forest of fables.
