RYANAIR shareholders have approved an order for 100 Boeing 737 Max aircraft with options for a further 100. When finalized, the deal will be valued at more than $22 billion (£14 billion) at current prices if all options are taken.
Ryanair is the lead customer for the 197-seat aircraft, which will reduce fuel consumption by up to 18% and cut noise emissions by 40%.
