The selection was based on the opinions of travelers in major tourism markets such as the US., Britain, and Canada.
The CTO pointed out that Barbados was chosen as Best Destination by the Caribbean Journal, and ranked third among Caribbean islands by Trip Advisor in 2015.
‘Each award we have received over the past 12 months has been confirmation for us that we are moving in the right direction with our destination marketing and product development, which continues to be a team effort across the public and private sector,’ Barbados Tourism Marketing CEO William Griffith said.
