Rough guide to accessible Britain

THE ROUGH GUIDE TO ACCESSIBLE BRITAIN – developed in association with Motability Operations Ltd – features nine scenic drives through Britain’s countryside, including the Exmoor Scenic Drive which covers 21 miles of windswept moors to wooded valleys and coastline. Those further north can plan a journey through the North Yorkshire Moors.

For an artistic day out in East Anglia, drive the 26 miles through Stour Valley and Dedham Vale where John Constable worked. Across the border in Wales, Snowdonia has a drive through many different backdrops from woodlands to valleys, mountains, beaches, and castles.

The online reviews contain must-have accessibility information, the website also features the Days Out blog, which has first-person experiences of accessible days out across the country, written by disability experts and tourism professionals. The website offers people the opportunity to submit their own reviews for places they have visited or great days out they’ve experienced.

Visitors to the website can read reviews by other readers; download a free activity pack to keep kids entertained on long journeys, and access special offer vouchers. For more information, go to www.accessibleguide.co.uk
