Jane’s trail in Winchester

WINCHESTER, Hampshire, next month (March) will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of one of the world’s most popular novels, Emma, by Jane Austen.

The Jane Austen Trail brings together the houses and places in and around Winchester which inspired the writer and which can be seen in much of her work.

They include Steventon, where Jane was born; the house in Chawton (now the Jane Austen House Museum) where Jane lived and wrote; and her final resting place, Winchester Cathedral.

On March 13, Winchester Cathedral will hosting a special evening remembering Emma.
