Park yourself here . . .

NORTHUMBERLAND’S 400-square mile national park has been judged the world’s best by #Conde Nast Traveller magazine.

England’s northernmost national park, it covers an area between the Scottish border in the north to just south of Hadrian’s Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage site which attracts more than 200,000 visitors annually.

The park was awarded Dark Sky Park status in 2013 by the International Dark Sky Association, making it Europe’s largest protected Dark Sky Park.

It was followed in Conde Nast Traveller’s top five list by:

· Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Wales
· Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy
· Pirin National Park, Bulgaria
· Olympus National Park, Greece
