Hungary for Italy

BUDAPEST Airport’s blistering route network growth looks set to continue into 2019 as the Hungarian gateway announces a further two new routes with Ryanair. Leading the way the ultra-low-cost carrier will launch new links to Bari and Cagliari, both with a twice-weekly service set to commence in April 2019.

While the Ryanair will join Wizz Air in offering direct services to Bari, the port city on the Adriatic Sea, the airline’s link to Cagliari will become Budapest’s first connection to the capital city of the Italian island, #Sardinia. Ryanair’s continued growth at Budapest will see the airline serve eight Italian destinations as of next year as the new services join established links to Naples, Milan Bergamo, Palermo, Pisa, Rome Ciampino and Treviso.

Fine Dining on the Adriatic Coast

THE iconic beachfront Atlantic Hotel Riccione, #Italy has started hosting a series of monthly fine dining events with menus created by award-winning European chefs specially invited to cook at its renowned Green Restaurant. 

The evenings dubbed ‘Dinner with the Stars’ will take place monthly and will be dedicated to fine dining tradition for discerning guests and their palates. Award winning chefs from Europe will take over the kitchen and create unique menus for one night only. The ingredients for all their dishes will be locally sourced from the province’s rich agricultural farmland.

A pearl of a festival …

DUBROVNIK’S summer festival runs until August 25. 

The oldest of the Croatian festivals, it features classical music and theatre performances in renaissance venues such as the Minceta Fortress. 

More than 2,000 artists turn the Old City into a stage, with this year's highlights including Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Visitors to the Pearl of the Adriatic will be able to combine a ballet performance on the city's streets with day trips to the nearby Elaphiti islands.
