Travel to Puglia with your morning brew

PUGLIA'S official tourist board has launched a new marketing campaign in association with London based advertising agency CupTheMarket. 150,000 thirsty Londoners will sip their morning brew in Puglia-branded paper cups which will be distributed from 50 coffee shops across the Capital’s zones one and two.

The fully compostable cups will feature captivating designs recalling iconic Apulian landmarks. The Trulli, the countryside, the sea and cactuses are all represented under the strap line ‘#Puglia travel therapy, grab your cup of happiness’. In between City meetings or whilst enjoying their lunch in Hyde Park, potential visitors will be able to link directly to the Tourist board’s landing page through a unique QR code printed on the eco-friendly cups.

A number of cafés will also distribute leaflets inviting customers to snap a selfie with their Puglia paper cups and post it on Instagram using the #weareinpuglia hashtag, with prizes on offer for the best shots.

Ragusa
A UNESCO World Heritage site, Ragusa is one of the most picturesque hilltop towns in Sicily (or anywhere). Its "modern" Baroque streets, piazzas and homes date back to 1693 (the year an earthquake razed the village).

Volterra - Enclosed by stone walls sits this mountaintop town in the land of wine. With historical sites that date back to the 7thcentury BC, Volterra invites travelers to take a step back in time on its medieval, cobblestoned streets.


Spoleto - Resting in the shadow of mountains and surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, this hill-town is stunning in every way. Its beauty and views will leave you breathless.

Ostuni - A sparkling white gem in a sea of greens (hills) and blues (Adriatic Sea), Ostuni – and its whitewashed houses – is one of the most stunning cities in Southern Italy.

Lecce - Described as the "Florence of the Baroque" and the "Rome of the South," Lecce was also deemed the "most beautiful city in Italy" by 18th-century traveler Thomas Ashe.

Stay on a vineyard

WINE TOURISTS have the chance to stay on a vineyard estate in #Puglia, #Italy.

Holiday with the celebs in Italy

PUGLIA in southern #Italy has been attracting celebs. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel tied the knot in Savelletri de Fasano, a Puglian seaside town, and at another recent a wedding in the region the guest list included Britain’s Prince Harry, Princess Eugenie, and Princess Beatrice.
