A STUDY by KPMG has found that the
average cost of creating a new golf resort in Europe, the Middle East, and
Africa has reached £4.93 million, up by 31 percent on the estimated cost in
2008.
KPMG's survey reveals that obtaining
the necessary planning permits has been the biggest challenge for developers in
recent years.
According to the architects surveyed
by KPMG, emerging regions such as China, India, Russia, South America, the
Caribbean and South-East Asia provide the biggest opportunities for golf
development.
