Is this the station for you?

UK-based One Off Places specializes in unusual holiday cottages and villas around the world, but one its latest properties is close to home. Alpine Apartments are in a restored 1860s former railway station in Betws-y-Coed, Snowdonia.

Tabitha Symonds, founder and director of oneoffplaces.co.uk, says: ‘If you want to explore the Welsh wilderness from the comfort of a cosy and luxurious bolt-hole, look no further. These three, artist-designed apartments offer a unique and stylish self-catering experience in a stunning part of the world.’

There is a one bedroom apartment, and two each with three bedrooms allowing groups of up to six people a base from which to explore the high peaks of Snowdonia.

Weekly rates range from £450 to £600 (1-bed apartment), and £900 to £1,200 (3-bed).
