Jamaica tops for weddings

JAMAICA has triumphed at the World Travel Awards… the island won five awards, including the title of the world’s leading wedding destination. It also won the award for the world’s leading heritage project – for the port of Falmouth, where the town’s English colonial architecture has been preserved.

Round Hill Hotel & Villas at Montego Bay collected the award for the world’s leading villa resort.

Elizabeth Fox, regional director UK/Northern Europe for the Jamaica Tourist Board, said: ‘These awards reflect the extensive offering that Jamaica has to offer travellers in search of every type of holiday, from honeymoons to cruises to luxury get-aways.’
