Expecting … and flying?

ACCORDING to recent advice published by Britain’s Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the safest time to fly when pregnant is before 37 weeks or, if carrying twins, before 32 weeks.

With this in mind, Airport Parking and Hotels (APH) has created a guide to help expectant mothers plan ahead by comparing the different airline policies for pregnant travellers.

The research is available in a comprehensive guide and can be found in the Know Before You Go section of the APH website at www.aph.com/pregnanttravellers.

The research compares the policies for pregnant travellers across 20 major airlines and highlights the short-haul and long-haul flight restrictions, the policies and documents required for medical clearance, as well as the different reasons why travelling might be denied.
