Heritage proves popular

A VISITBRITAIN survey suggests that heritage attractions feature most highly on the wish-lists of potential visitors. From a pre-defined list of activities, visitors from most of Britain’s major inbound markets ranked a visit to Buckingham Palace as their top choice. Countryside-based ‘dream activities’ such as visits to the Lake District, the Scottish Highlands and Snowdonia in Wales were ranked highly by respondents.

Eating in a cosy Welsh pub is ranked as the number one activity by Swedes, and the French put it in their top three dream activities to do in Britain.
