British Year in Germany

LIFE will be very British in the state capital of Lower Saxony, where Hannover is staging a British Year to celebrate the historic and cultural links between the German state and the UK.

The Hannoverians provided Britain with its monarchs during most of the 18th century when, unfortunately, one of them was careless enough to lose England’s American colonies.

There will be four exhibitions, plus concerts, a fireworks display, and a British garden party.
