Med diet recognised by UNESCO

THE ‘Mediterranean Diet’ has been officially recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). 

The diet – nominated by Croatia, Portugal, Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Italy and Morocco for recognition – covers a set of traditions concerning crops, fishing, animal husbandry, conservation, cooking, and particularly the sharing and consumption of food.
