EU roaming charges to be axed

THE European Parliament has voted to get rid of roaming fees for mobile phones when travelling abroad. It means that from December 2015 UK holidaymakers will be able to make calls and download internet data in other EU countries for the same cost that applies in Britain.

The change is expected to come into force after approval from EU governments.
