‘EDWARDIAN Life at the Castle’ takes place at
Hever Castle & Gardens in Kent from May 24th – June 1st.
The half term event for families gives a glimpse of the era just before the
First World War.
Children can experience an Edwardian school
where the Three Rs of education – reading,
writing and arithmetic – will be taught each
day in an old fashioned classroom. While a fun time is promised for all,
children need to mind their p’s and q’s to avoid upsetting the teacher!
Traditional
games of the period for all the family to enjoy include croquet, a coconut shy
and tin-can alley. There’s a prize for the best dressed boy and girl each day
for those who come in Edwardian costume.
