Roaming charges cut

PRICE caps for data downloads in European Union countries will fall by more than half in July. 

They will drop from 45 cents (36p) per megabyte to 20 cents (16p), making it less expensive to make calls, send text messages, use maps, watch videos, and check e-mails.

Since the EU first introduced caps on data roaming, consumption has risen dramatically.
