ZIP WORLD in North Wales claims to have the longest and fastest zip line in Europe with speeds of up to 100 mph 500ft above a mountain lake.
At Penrhyn Quarry in Snowdonia, the Zip World site comprises two lines, the first of which takes holidaymakers to the bottom of the quarry, where they pick up a specialized vehicle for a quarry tour, before zip lining back for a mile to the start.
The founders of Zip World have built more than 1,000 installations in more than 30 countries. The safety trolleys are designed for use in the harshest environments at the highest speeds and loads.
The minimum age is seven, and there’s no maximum. For height and weight limits, zip along to www.zipworld.co.uk.
