Alliance to guard coastal path

SOUTH WEST WATER and the South West Coast Path Association have teamed up to support one of England’s major tourist attractions.

Says Monica Read at South West Water: ‘Over the last two decades, we’ve undertaken a massive clean-up of Devon and Cornwall’s bathing waters and this has helped to transform the fortunes of the tourism industry in the South West.  We’re spending more this year to deliver even cleaner seas at seven locations across our area.

This new partnership with the South West Coast Path Association fits with our aim of supporting local communities and protecting the natural environment.  We look forward to helping to promote this jewel in the region’s tourism crown and the good work done by the association.’

The South West Coast Path is the longest of the country’s 15 National Trails, enabling walkers to explore 630 miles of coastline from Minehead in Somerset to Poole Harbour in Dorset.
