Busy July for Heathrow, Gatwick and Glasgow

HEATHROW and Gatwick airports say July this year as their busiest month ever as the summer get-away started.

Heathrow saw 6.97 million people use the airport last month, an increase of 0.5%, while Gatwick registered a 6% increase to 4.1 million.

In Scotland, Glasgow Airport reported its busiest July in six years with more than 840,000 passengers. These are up 1.1% year-on-year, lifted Commonwealth Games.

*Heathrow also revealed that Air China will double its services to Beijing from October.
