A year after Boris Johnson announced a £200 million snow centre for London's Olympic Park, the French capital now has its own urban ski resort on the horizon.
According Le Figaro, a Dutch company plans to build a centre with 236,000 sq ft of piste and slopes as long as 1,049 ft.
The centre, to the west of Paris, will also have a chairlift, toboggan slopes, a restaurant and a three-star hotel.
Parisians in search of real skiing can reach the French Alps by train in six hours.
