Record month for LCY

LONDON CITY AIRPORT (LCY) is celebrating the busiest month in its 27 year history. In July 2014, 341,866 passengers travelled through the airport – a four percent increase from the previous record set in July 2013.

The only airport in London is continuing to go from strength to strength, following a record year in 2013, with 3.38 million passengers choosing LCY.

The airport says the bumper figures are thanks to new services from British Airways such as Dusseldorf and Granada, extra flights to the likes of Ibiza, increased frequency on key routes from Alitalia to Milan and Rome and Luxair to Luxembourg, and more people travelling on existing services, with Zurich, Amsterdam and Edinburgh among the busiest routes.
