GROWING numbers of holidaymakers are choosing solitary cottage stays this summer, according to statistics published by holiday lettings agency holidaycottages.co.uk.
It has seen a 15 percent increase in solo traveller bookings this August compared to the same time last year.
Holidaycottages.co.uk also says that overall bookings this August had increased by 16 percent year-on-year.
James Morris, managing director of holidaycottages.co.uk said: ‘With the rise in ‘mindfulness’ and digital detoxes as ways to combat the ever-increasing buzz and stress of everyday life, it should come as no surprise that growing numbers of people are seeking solitary cottage holidays where they can enjoy some peace and quiet on their own.’
