MORE Brits are looking to book a holiday because they feel more comfortable about their jobs and financial situations, the Holiday Confidence Index has found.
The index is a collaboration between First Rate Exchange Services, the Institute of Travel & Tourism (ITT), University of Wolverhampton, and YouGov.
Europe and North America remain the most popular destination choices with short breaks of less than six nights seeing a lift.
‘Against a backdrop of low inflation, a growing economy, and a definite sense that jobs are more secure, it is no wonder that Britons are feeling more confident to plan holidays abroad in the coming year,’ said Alistair Rennie at First Rate Exchange Services.
