Woodland hide-away

ONE OFF PLACES has put a slightly different type of self-catering option on the market: a handcrafted treehouse.

It’s in a woodland garden on an organic farm in Somerset.

It has a high vaulted ceiling with flowing curved walls and roof lit by windows which frame views of the trunks and leaves outside. The bespoke kitchen is clad in 80-year-old boards reclaimed from old army Nissen huts on Salisbury Plain. A wide staircase winds between the trees leading guests up to the decking for al fresco dining.
