Up in the air …

NEW routes from Edinburgh and Birmingham to the Canary Islands are being added by Norwegian Air from the autumn. Tenerife will be served from both airports, while Birmingham will gain a service to Las Palmas. The three routes will operate year round.

The airline is also increasing frequency on services from Gatwick to Berlin and Rome.

GLASGOW is the latest summer destination for Lufthansa from Munich. From May, the city will be serviced once a week. Besides Glasgow, Lufthansa is also flying for the first time from Munich to Keflavik (Iceland), Heraklion (Crete), Seville (Spain) and Perugia (Italy) this summer.

DELTA AIR LINES is adding five more weekly flights between Athens and
New York (JFK) from June 2. Overall, Delta’s 12 weekly flights will offer more than 83,000 seats between Greece and the United States during the peak travel period.

THOMAS COOK AIRLINES has started twice-weekly, non-stop Miami and Manchester (UK) flights.
