ADRENALIN junkies planning a holiday in #Australia might want to head for #TreetopsAdventurePark in the Ourimbah State Forest on the New South Wales Central Coast. It has what’s claimed to be the world’s longest tree-base zip line.
Its one kilometre (0.62 miles) long Crazy Treetop Rider winds and loops through the treetops 18 metres (59ft) above the ground. It takes approximately five thrilling minutes to get from the start to the end.
The gravity-defying zip line has been described as ‘a five-minute fast and furious experience’ by the park’s owner, Sandrine Gaymard.
As it passes through no less than 40 obstacles and 360-degree loops, including a 540-metre (1,770 ft) circle around a tree, riders hang in a seated swing harness.
‘Zip lines usually travel in a straight line, but we thought it would be incredible to build some to go around the trees, up and down, and even with 360-degree loops to really ramp up the fun factor,’ says Ms Gaymard.
