JUNGFRAU RAILWAYS in #Switzerland has created three summit attractions on its adventure mountain above Grindelwald and facing the Eiger – a suspension bridge, a cliff walkway, and an observation platform.
Known as the First Cliff Walk by Tissot (the Swiss watch brand), the circular summit trail features a 130ft single-rope suspension bridge built alongside the steep rock face on the western side of the summit.
Open without restriction throughout the year to walkers and hikers, it enables the geologically interesting, stratified cliff face to be seen up close, and makes risk-free vistas across the Alpine pastures and waterfalls below possible. A winding staircase takes visitors up to a sun terrace and an observation platform that seemingly puts the mountainscape with its 13,000ft-high peaks within palpable reach.
The Swatch Group is supporting the attraction with its Tissot watch brand.
