Record year for Costa Rican tourism

2015 WAS a record year for inbound tourism to #CostaRica, with revenue from tourism up by nine percent.

International tourist numbers hit an all-time high, with more than 2.66 million visitors arriving at all ports of entry, an increase of 5.5 percent on 2014.

There were 49,499 visitors from the UK, an increase of 20.1 percent on 2014 – the highest rise of all European markets, with France coming in second with an increase of 10.2 percent.

The country’s tourism board is predicting further growth this year, following the introduction of direct British Airways flights from London Gatwick in April.
